When people think of a Maths tutor, their immediate thought is that it should be one-to-one tuition. While that can be beneficial, I’ve found that a lot of students thrive in small groups. There are lots of reasons for this:

  • They get support and encouragement from their peers and are held more accountable for their studies.
  • They don’t feel singled out and like they’re the only one struggling. Working alongside other students at the same stage can really boost confidence and morale.
  • Better value for the parent. While I know a lot of parents would do anything, and spend anything to help their child, you shouldn’t have to. Private tutoring can be extremely expensive.
  • Better use of time. Because the course is online, there’s no need to travel to your session which saves time. And as a parent to two girls, I’m all for saving time and effort where possible!
